My name is David Brown. I grew up in Stamford, Connecticut, but spent a lot of my childhood traveling around the world. As a kid I spent time living in
Kenya, as well as traveling in Europe, the Mediterranean, Asia, and the West coast of the United States; never fully appreciating all that I was seeing, and too young to really immerse myself in the variety of cultures that I was encountering.
I graduated from the University of Connecticut and have spent the past few years working in Sales and Recruiting. Currently I am a Human Resource Consultant.
I stumbled upon my love for photography after receiving compliments on some pictures that I took with a simple 2mp point & shoot camera. I enrolled at the NYIP hoping to improve my everyday photographic skills; and somewhere along the way realized that I was really enjoying my new hobby. Now that I have completed the course Ive learned to view the world through the lens, appreciating details in everything around me. I mostly enjoy doing sports and nature photography. My love for photography has also inspired me to take the time to explore New England as well as to travel the US and the rest of the world. I hope to rediscover all the countries and cultures that I visited as a child, knowing that as an adult I will enjoy and appreciate everything I see.
I created my website so that I would be able to share my images. It is a work-in-progress and Im continuously looking for ways to improve and expand my galleries. Currently photography is just a hobby and with time I will figure out if it can be more than that. I have my first photo gig shooting a friends wedding this summer. In the meantime, I continue to learn everyday and am enjoying it very much.
